Board/Training
Wikimedia UK trustees are given training opportunities related to their role as a trustee of a charitable organisation both at the start of their appointment to the Board and during their term as trustees. This page records the training that our current and past trustees have undertaken. These opportunities help to ensure that new trustees are familiar with their legal duties, understand their commitment to the Trustee Code of Conduct and the policies and values of Wikimedia UK.
Training opportunities include:
- An in-house induction, which takes place shortly after each AGM
- Local charity trustee courses
- National specialist training opportunities
- Media training
The register below is a summary of formal training that trustees have received. Note that some trustees are involved with other charities and have past training, or non-WMUK training, that may not have been recorded here but the charity benefits from.
The costs of WMUK-provided training, and the corresponding travel expenses, are recorded both below and at Expenses 2012-2013.
