About the event

This event will be an opportunity for staff to learn more about Wikipedia and the benefits of Wikipedia for science outreach, and to create new and improve existing content on Wikipedia pertaining to stem cells.

Most articles on Wikipedia relating to Stem Cells are semi-protected, meaning that anyone intending to take part must create their account 5 days in advance, and must make at least 10 edits before they will be able to edit those pages. Please see below for further information about making edits. More training will be provided on the day.

How do I prepare?

Sources

For more guidance on the use of sources, see this guide here.

Sources for improving pages related to the history of genetics

There are several important figures in the history of genetics whose Wikipedia pages have much scope for improvement, and for whom the Wellcome have digitized profiles/information in the Codebreakers pages. See the Hit List below for suggestions of specific pages to improve.
