Hi everyone,

I'm Ammar - medical student with students4bestevidence.net. The idea for the Wikipedia Week is that the UK Cochrane Centre (UKCC) is interested in getting students involved in Wikipedia and having the highest-level Cochrane evidence available on Wikipedia, and so has set up this Wikipedia Week and identified a number of reviews with up-to-date content that have not yet been added to Wikipedia.

So this is what we have so far in terms of a plan; getting together a series of blogs on the subject, setting up an education extension and getting students involved with instructors, then an edit-a-thon. Proposed date September 17th.

Blogs on:

* Why students are interested in WP
*   What is WP med
* How to edit WP successfully
*   Cochrane and WP partnership

Editathon:

* In person and online through hangout
* Divide into groups, working on a selection of interesting reviews that we will have pre picked
*   prizes

Sydney Poore the Cochrane Wikipedian in Residence is with us and James Heilman has been very helpful. I've talked to RexxS about the idea of getting students involved at Wikimania and I believe he is also based close to Oxford; it would be great if you could make it. So what do you make of this everyone?
