Editathon right

Based on Tipu's Tiger

This page gives the example of the Victoria and Albert Museum, Wikimedia UK and Wikimedia India and a musical instrument of great interest in the Sub continent.

Core messages:

  1. Wikimedia was cooperating with the Victoria and Albert Museum
  2. Curator support from the V&A enabled the writing and improvement of wikipedia content across several languages.
  3. The V&A's was open to photography
  4. Efficient use of curator's time - they just advised us that an article on that subject should reference certain source material and gave us some handouts of copies for educational use.
  5. Globalism - Wikimedia UK was able to involve editors remotely from India.
  6. The V&A was able to use this program to enable source country virtual access to part of their cultural heritage.
