Mediawiki for learning analytics - a concept

Any interest in something on learning analytics and mediawiki? It's a platform thing (probably), and more of a discussion/concept than presenting empirical work, but it may be an interesting area for development. I wrote e.g. something here http://people.kmi.open.ac.uk/knight/2013/01/mediawiki-for-learning-analytics/ Sjgknight (talk) 15:43, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

I just saw your blog post on this and find all this very interesting. Were you planning on talking about this stuff at the upcoming WikiConference UK 2013 in Lincoln? I think that would be a great place for us to discuss some of your ideas as we take them forward towards a possible contribution at EduWiki 2013. I know at least two other people who will be EduWiki who would be very interested in seeing a more fully formed presentation on learning analytics through MediaWiki. --Toni Sant (WMUK) (talk) 15:52, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
Wasn't planning to go to the WikiConference, but might be able to (although, it's not ideal from London). Happy to talk about it further if it's an area of interest though - there may be other people with more expertise in mediawiki analytics than me though, I'm in the LA field and want to see more mediawiki stuff but I'd be surprised if there aren't people already engaging across the two. Mediawiki as an OER platform

The other thing I've done some work on (when working on the ORBIT project http://orbit.educ.cam.ac.uk/ ) is mediawiki as a resource bank for OER. One thing we've talked about recently is some tech-spec issues with the platform, not sure EduWiki is the right venue for discussing that (and the intention is to seek some wider community discussion in any case). Anyway, no harm gauging interest here already Sjgknight (talk) 21:01, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
