Membership/Drive/Old

In order to fully function as a chapter, and actually do things, we need members. So, how do we get them?

Ideas:

Take membership application forms along to wikimeets
Send a message to anyone that's UK-based on their en.wp user talk pages
1. Compile a list and use AWB?
Send to relevant WikiProjects
Chase people with a previous involvement with WMUK
Contact people that expressed an interest but haven't joined yet including those on these lists

Create a welcome template for all people who create a user account here, encouraging them to join
Publicise in newsletter
Email invitation on email list
Other email lists? en-wiki
Prominent invitation on uk.wikimedia.org homepage
Agree a target number of people by a certain date (e.g. AGM) to focus efforts
Press release to advertise AGm & membership & donations
Encourage people to add {{WMUK}} to their project userpage
