Wikipedia Takes Coventry is a one day photo scavenger hunt, held in the city of Coventry, England on September 1 2012. Anyone can participate in the day, there is no need to be a Wikimedian or a member of Wikimedia UK.

- Please note: This is only a preliminary registration of interest and will not guarantee you a place! Signing here means you will receive a talk page message when registration (which will be free) opens.
Rules
- Anyone can participate!
- Participants may photograph alone or form teams of up to five people.
- There can be only one memory stick per team. It can be used with multiple devices if compatible.
- The memory stick has to be empty when the hunt starts.
- The resolution of the pictures must be at least 1280 x 853 pixels.
- Before taking pictures of a target, a reference picture must be taken (photo of the item with the name/code of the target included).
- Photos with a timestamp on the image will be rejected. A timestamp in the hidden metadata in the properties of the photo is allowed.
- Photos MUST be taken within the alloted time. Any not taken within this time will not be calculated in the final score.
- Photos that are not on the target list may be submitted, but will not be counted for the "most points" prize.
- Participants are allowed to use any means of transport (walking, skating, cycling, bus, car, horse ...)
- Participants are allowed to carry a smartphone, PDA or GPS.
- Do not take pictures where it is prohibited. Do not take pictures of people without their consent.
- The hunt ends at
- At the end of the hunt, participants must use their laptops to upload photos on Wikipedia. The organisers will be on hand to help you do so. Teams without a laptop will have to wait until one is free.
- Participants must agree to put their works under a free license: Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0), compatible with Wikimedia projects in all countries.
