Below is the Wikimedia UK monthly report for the period 1 to 30 September 2011. Education projects
- 1st September - Institute of Physics Workshop
GLAM activities
- On September 8th, the first Wikipedia editing training session at the British Museum, with 9 BM people (after 3 late drop-outs; a mix of curators, curatorial interns and volunteers) and three Wikimedians. See here
- Two ARKive project events, one in the afternoon, the other in the evening, were held in Bristol on 15 September, led by Andy Mabbett (User:Pigsonthewing). - see Wiki Wildlife Bristol. A collaboration to improve Wikipedia articles on threatened species - Full information is available at Wikipedia:GLAM/ARKive.
- 3rd - Mayor of Derby on Webstream to give prizes to Russia, France and Indonesia for Derby Multilingual challenge
- 8th - British Museum internal workshop
- 14th - Workshop for GLAMs at Herbert Art Gallery and Museum
- 27th - Presentation for all staff at the British Library

- UK Wikimeets this month: London (11th) and Manchester (17th)
- UK Community IRC meetings
- On 2nd to 3rd, Mike Peel presented at Science Online London in the "How are wikis being used to carry out and communicate science?" session, and also the 'Micro-attribution' session.
- 8th - Steve Virgin and Roger Bamkin talking at TEDx Bristol
- 27th - Manchester Girl Geek Dinner at B-Hive, Manchester. Fiona Apps (User:Panyd) speaking about Women and Wikipedia.

- The 49th London Meetup was held at Penderel's Oak Pub, Holborn, London. The final candidates for the Wikimedia UK Chief Executive position were in attendance.
- Richard Symonds, known as Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry on Wikipedia, joined Wikimedia UK as an Office Administrator, until mid-January.
