Help Wikipedia take Coventry

On 1 September, Wikimedians and amateur photographers will come to Coventry to take photographs of buildings, monuments and other structures in Coventry.

On 1 September, the city of Coventry will play host to Wikimedians and amateur photographers as they descend upon the city for a one-day "photo scavenger hunt".

The aim of the event is to generate lots of photographs of important buildings, monuments and other structures in Coventry which will then be released under a free license granting them to be used both on Wikipedia and all over the world. Anyone can participate, regardless of photography ability or whether or not they have edited Wikipedia before. Whether you have a point-and-shoot or a high-end DSLR, this event is for you.

The event is a collaboration between the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum in Jordan Well, Coventry and Wikimedia UK.
