Wikipedia Takes Coventry is a one day photo scavenger hunt, held in the city of Coventry, England on September 1 2012. Anyone can participate in the day, there is no need to be a Wikimedian or a member of Wikimedia UK.
Rules
- Anyone can participate!
- Participants may photograph alone or in teams.
- The memory stick has to be empty when the hunt starts.
- The resolution of the pictures must be at least 1280 x 853 pixels.
- Before taking pictures of a target, a reference picture must be taken (photo of the item with the name/code of the target included).
- Photos with a timestamp on the image itself will be rejected. A timestamp in the hidden metadata in the properties of the photo is allowed.
- Photos must be taken within the alloted time. Any not taken within this time will not be calculated in the final score.
- Do not take pictures where it is prohibited. Do not take pictures of people without their consent.
- All participants must be back at the Herbert at 16:00.
- At the end of the hunt, participants must use their laptops to upload photos on Wikipedia. The organisers will be on-hand to help you do so. A small number of spare laptops will be available.
- Participants must agree to release entries under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA 3.0) license, or a compatible license of their choice.
