Overview

A microphone in order to help me record articles on Wikipedia, as I don't have a microphone at the current moment in time

Budget

A used Logitech USB Desktop microphone costs £17.99, so I am asking for £20 to cover the microphone and shipment costs

Timeline

I should be able to start recording articles as soon as it arrives, normally within 2-3 weeks. It should last me for at least a year, and I will be able to record at least 50 articles.

Expected outcomes

I hope to record 50 Wikipedia articles, including at least 25 long ones, by June 2012 and then continue to record articles at a less rapid pace after this-aiming to record 150 articles by the end of 2012.

Who I am

I am Michael, and I am a contributor to Wikipedia. I get told I'm 'posh' and know I have good diction. I have never been involved in recording articles because I have never had the incentive to spend money on a microphone. After receiving the microphone, I may need assistance learning how to record my first article

Discussion

I forgot to log in on writing this, but I am RDN1F RDN1F 18:10, 11 October 2011 (UTC) sorry about that

Thanks for the application. This sounds great; I'm more than happy to approve this. Please buy a new microphone rather than a used one, since that's more likely to last (e.g. Amazon sell the microphone new for £17). We can either purchase this directly for you (in which case we'll need your postal address), or reimburse you if you want to buy it directly (in which case we'll need a receipt and the details of how you want us to reimburse you, e.g. by bank transfer or cheque) - please let me know off-wiki which approach you would prefer, and the corresponding details.
