Wiki Wildlife Bristol
When: Thursday 15 September 2011 in two sessions; from 1.30-5pm and from 6-9.30pm

What: An event focused on writing about endangered species for Wikipedia.
Who: Hosted by Wikimedia UK, with speakers from ARKive (http://arkive.org).
Presenter: Andy Mabbett (User:Pigsonthewing), Wikipedia Outreach Ambassador to ARKive.
Audience: You! Expert or amateur; Wikipedian, Wiki-novice or or Wiki-phobic, come and help us make knowledge freely available to the world.
This will be a fun hands-on event, in which we will be improving Wikipedia’s articles on endangered species. Please bring a laptop or other internet device. Don’t worry if you’ve never edited Wikipedia before: help will be on hand; and it's really easy!
Venue
The location is the Watershed, the UK’s first media centre. Its cafe-bar serves a wide variety of locally-sourced food and drink and has stunning views of Bristol Harbourside.
Booking
The event will take place in two sessions (one for people available during daytime, the other for those who are not). You can register for either session through Eventbrite:
