About the event

We'll work together to build the education track at Wikimania.

The Future of Education Workshop is a two-day meeting to create sessions for an education pre-conference at Wikimania 2014, happening simultaneously with the Hackathon. The education pre-conference will bring instructors, librarians, educational technologists, and others up to speed on what's happening with Wikipedia and education -- and how they can participate and be inspired by the Future of Education sessions during Wikimania.

We're looking for about 20-25 people to come to the Future of Education Workshop to help us plan the education pre-conference. You'll need to be able to come to the Barbican Centre in London on both 21-22 June for the Future of Education Workshop and 6-7 August for the education pre-conference.

There is no registration fee for the events leading to the main Wikimania event but you will be responsible for any necessary transportation or lodging expenses for any of these events. Limited support is available for qualifying individuals to help defray the cost of transportation or lodging; kindly contact us directly at educationatwikimedia.org.uk to discuss your specific needs.
