I'd like the board to delegate the powers described at Administrators. Currently, certain trusted users who wish to have powers to delete and block things from the UK wiki have to apply to the Board. I feel that this is not necessary to decide this at Board level, and that instead it should be delegated to the Chief Executive. I'll be asking for the decision to be made in my report, but please bear it in mind for the Agenda :-) Richard Symonds (WMUK) (talk) 13:07, 31 July 2013 (UTC)

Current practice is actually that the rights may be granted to anyone who applies. For example, I asked an admin to delete a page for me, but since I am trusted and know how to use the tools, I was given admin rights instead. I should note that this practice has caused no incidents, so appears to work based on the available evidence. That said, the matter should still be raised with the board so that they can update their policies to represent current practices. --Deskana (talk) (email) 13:38, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
