Questions to be asked of the candidates for election to the Board of Wikimedia v2.0 in September 2008:
Mandatory questions
These questions must be answered by all candidates or (is the following consequence agreed?) their candidacy will be invalidated.
- What is your full name
- Are you over 18
- Are you legally capable of managing and administering your own affairs
- Do you have any unspent convictions relating to any offence involving deception or dishonesty
- Are you an undischarged bankrupt
- Have you made an undischarged composition or arrangement with, or granted a trust deed for, your creditors?
- Are you subject to a disqualification order under the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986 or to an Order made under section 429(b) of the Insolvency Act 1986;
- Have you been removed from the office of charity trustee or trustee for a charity by an Order made by the Charity Commissioners or the High Court on the grounds of any misconduct or mismanagement?
- Are you subject to an Order under section 7 of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act 1990, preventing you from being concerned in the management or control of any relevant organisation or body?
- Are you a permanent UK resident
- Do you have the right to work in the UK;
- Are you willing to submit to a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check; (is this needed?)
- Do you understand and accept the responsibilities of a Trustee listed here
- Do you understand and accept the responsibilities of a Company Director listed here

- How much time can you commit to acting on the Board?
- What user names have you used to edit wikimedia projects?
- What's your proudest achievement as a wikimedia editor?
- Would you be interested in being an officer of the Board (i.e. Chair, Secretary or Treasurer)?
- Were you involved in Wikimedia UK v1 and if so, what lessons do you think can be learned from it's failure?
