Date of 2010 AGM
Isn't it a bit early to be deciding this? I'd suggest it's left to the Board to call, subject of course to the requirements of the Articles. AndrewRT 13:29, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- I was wary that it would be rather early when I added it into the agenda. However, it might be possible to state a month for the AGM, if there is the desire to do that (e.g. "late february 2010". Alternatively, can't general meetings (note: not AGMs) be more frequent than annual if we want (e.g. 6-monthly)? In the end I put it in there to provoke discussion about it.
- At the very least, the next board meeting / first meeting of the new board should be decided on, so that things don't go into limbo after the agm. Mike Peel 22:24, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- We can hold EGM's whenever we like, but I don't see any point in having routine meetings more than once a year - just call extra meetings if there is something specific to deal with. If the next AGM is going to be done as a conference, as has been discussed, then we will need to choose someone to organise it and they should choose a date based on whatever requirements they determine (after discussion with board and membership, of course). --Tango 23:17, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
