Note: to ensure that people who don’t want to take the survey aren’t asked repeatedly (and indeed that those who have already taken it aren’t asked again), offer a sticker to everyone who you ask, which they can them pop onto their clothes.

Location: Different locations – we’ll make our base in hall between the Information Age gallery and the Maths and Computing Gallery (2nd floor)

Breakdown of activity: This is a brief survey (5 questions), to assess the visitors' perceptions of Wikipedia. We will give you a tablet, as the survey is web-based.

Volunteers:

  • Ask visitors if they are willing to participate in the survey
  • Ask them the questions
  • Take down their names and email addresses if they are willing to hear from Wikimedia UK
  • Give participants the postcard with information about our follow-on social next Wednesday
  • Ensure tablets are returned to Roberta Wedge in the same condition at the end of the night

Note: to ensure that people who don’t want to take the survey aren’t asked repeatedly (and indeed that those who have already taken it aren’t asked again), offer a sticker to everyone who you ask, which they can them pop onto their clothes.
