EduWiki Conference 2014 was the third annual conference organised by Wikimedia UK focusing on Education projects.
This was a one-day event raising awareness of the educational possibilities of Wikipedia and sister projects, and developing Wikimedia UK's academic engagement. In light of the fact that Wikimania 2014 drew substantial resources away from the EduWiki conference, this year's event took the form of a symposium bringing together all those in the Education sector who have benefited directly from WMUK support over the years. Aside from presentations about case studies from across the UK, this event also offered an opportunity for others across the education sector to attend workshops for Educators and/or Campus Ambassadors, providing support for those using Wikipedia as a teaching platform.

- EduWiki Pre-conference Meetup
From 19:00 on the evening of 30th October, participants and interested Wikimedians/educators alike are encouraged to join us for a relaxed gathering prior to the conference itself. An opportunity to meet Wikimedians and educators from around the UK and the world over drinks, and to break the ice before discussions the next morning. WiFi will be available. This event will be held at the City Cafe's City 2 function room, located at 19 Blair St, Edinburgh EH1 1QR
- EduWiki Hallowe'en TeachMeet Social
The conference will be followed by a special EduWiki TeachMeet Hallowe'en edition, where participants will be able to mingle over drinks and nibbles from 19:00 onwards, while teachers and Wikimedians alike are encouraged to give a casual 7 minute or 2 minute micropresentation about Wikipedia/Wikimedia in the classroom. Sponsored by the National Library of Scotland and Radio EDUTalk, the TeachMeet will be the perfect chance to socialise with delegates, speakers, and local educators! The event will be held at Codebase, located at Argyle House, 3 Lady Lawson St, Edinburgh EH3 9DR.
- Wikipedia Education Collaborative
EduWiki will also provide an opportunity for Wikipedia Education Collaborative members to follow-up on previous discussions, mainly through a full-day meeting on the day after EduWiki. However, Wikipedia Education Collaborative members will be present during EduWiki and will engage with delegates in a number of ways, which will be announced during the event.
