Payment methods

Fees and donations can be paid by

• cash,
• cheques,
• Paypal,
• bank transfers, or
• standing orders.

Please contact the office for the details required for bank transfers.

Postal payment

For postal payment by cheque, please download, print and complete a membership application form. (PDF documents require Adobe Reader or equivalent software; this is freely available). Please make out your cheque to "Wikimedia UK", and post it with the completed form, to the address given on the form.

Debit cards

It is actually possible to pay via debit card using the online form.

Processing

Membership is processed by the office; please consult Membership/Process for fuller details. Contact us if you have any questions not answered there regarding your membership.

Corporate membership

The fee for organisational member is £100 per year. Please direct enquiries to the office.

Recruitment ideas

1. Take membership application forms along to Wikimeets / Wiki-events (Wikimania)
2. Send a message to anyone that's UK-based on their en.wp user talk pages
3. Encourage people to join who support our goals, not necessarily wiki-people!
4. Get advertising out (Google Ads? National TV? Walk around [major city] with flyers? Talkpage spam?)
5. Members-only events (e.g. behind the scenes tours of museums, etc)

What can I do?

• Encourage your editing group / non-wiki / wiki friends to join!
• Get involved with initiatives! The more active we are, the wider our reach will be!
