Hi Thyrduulf, good to meet you at the workshop. I looked up Thryd- in Old English; it's the same as Thryth-, meaning 'might, power, force, strength; majesty, glory, splendour; multitude, troop, host'. Ulf (as if you didn't know) = Wulf, a (male) wolf, a wolfish person, a devil. The name therefore means something like 'Wolf-strength' (or perhaps 'Wolf-splendour', if that's imaginable - seems less likely), not a bad epithet for a warrior, I guess. Hi Thryduulf, welcome to the Wikimedia UK wiki! If you have any questions or comments about the work of the chapter, please do drop me a note or comment on the water cooler. In the meantime, thanks for your comment about merchandise, we'll certainly pick up the suggestion about key rings. If you ever find yourself in the Old St area of London, do drop in to the office if you'd like. You'll always find a cup of coffee, decent wi-fi and a warm welcome.
