Wikimedia UK Annual Conference 2012

Metrics on WMUK

Hi Steve, I am sorry to say that the metrics I set up don't actually work. I was aware of how they worked on WikiPedia for some time, and then stumbled on how to do them on WikiVersity. I tried some of the more obvious links, and even got WikiPedia Ukraine at one stage (the UK refers to their language). It may be that the system has not been set up to include WMUK, or perhaps this has been done, but if so, I am afraid I don't know how to get it working. You might be able to get better advice from one of the technical people at the Foundation. They might even know how to get the service extended to WMUK if it is not already linked in. MediaWiki software quirk: to make a level-2 bullet point, one needs to leave no blank lines between the level-1 bullet point line and the level-2 bullet point line. Alternatively, use the colon, because the indent has the same width as the bullet. Deryck Chan (talk) 19:11, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi Mike. The image was sent to me by Toni himself. I haven't added it to Commons or added license information because I do not know if permission exists and I don't want to make an assumption. I am planning try to get access to catacombs under London and I need to send email to Camden Historical Society and it will be fine use official WMUK email. Appeal for help

Stevie,

I am working on the assumption that certain people from The Signpost will gleefully twist my comments directed towards Jimmy into another "hatchet-job" editorial; prime suspect being someone who openly states he is, 'offended by my existence'.

I've had around eight-hours sleep since Sunday, and I know rather more than I should about the political machinations originating with the project's most-shrill critics. Since I'm stuck in meetings — and, supporting a vital presentation to one of our tier-one telecomms clients tomorrow — I can't properly investigate the 'obvious meatpuppetting', such would be far more-credible if coming from someone uninvolved, and not — as I have been — subjected to libellous accusations of being a 'fascist'.

I certainly do not want this nonsense, a discussion I sought to start in-earnest, used to troll the hell out of Wikinewsies and bring the project's article production to a complete halt. --Brian McNeil / ^talk 23:34, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
