From 13 March, Lua was enabled as a templating language on a number of Wikimedia Foundation wikis, including the English Wikipedia. The aim of the day is for interested Wikimedians to find out what Lua is, how it works in terms of wiki templates, and to try their hands on coding some templates in Lua.

Although the day will be jointly led by volunteers from London Lua and experienced Wikimedians, the aim is for it to be be fairly informal with each participants sharing their skills and knowledge with the other participants.

- Wikimedia UK has 3 laptops for volunteers to use, so attendees will need to bring laptops if possible
