A one-day, free, hands-on training event for Society of Biology and other related organisations in improving Wikipedia articles on Biology, arranged in cooperation with Wikimedia UK. Attendees are asked to bring their own laptops and to register a user account on Wikipedia in advance.
The aim is to train a group of people from within the Society so that in the longer term they can cascade their skills down to anyone else interested in improving the relevant Wikipedia articles.
Attendees
If you have a laptop, please bring it in with you.
It will also help if you create an editing account at Wikipedia before you come in on Thursday. If you haven't yet created an account, please go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page and click 'Create an account' at the top right corner. This is a quick procedure that does not need any detailed personal information; although it is advisable to give an email address, to enable the retrieval of forgotten passwords! If you need help you can wait till the workshop.
If you have created an account, please email it to me; or if you can write it down below
