That raises a question: since this is the inaugural award, will you award it to someone who has shown dedication over the years or will you limit your scope to someone who did a lot in 2011? --[[User:Bodnotbod|Bodnotbod]] 00:25, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

:Identity - I think if you want to give it to PrettyGirl47 (I made her up) then we can find out who this is. I'm not sure you need to know what people look like? Last year Fae and I gave one away (we made it up!). We imagined at that time that the best Wikimedian that year was Matthew Cock who had an edit count of about "7" ..... BUT he had got us in to the British Museum which is where GLAM started. I'm hoping the board will give it to who they think has done most and we'll work out the rules later. This is bound to be wrong as someone will have done more but not told so many people. But we can only try our best!
I'm hoping the community can give us some advice on which is the best GLAM etc [[User:Victuallers|Victuallers]] 17:11, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Can I suggest we discuss how this is done until Feb 5 and then decided who we want in each category. Victuallers 17:56, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

I like this idea...

But it has made me realise that I'm not very good when it comes to visualising people and associating it with their actions. I don't mean as in picturing them from a photograph; I'm sure most of us don't know what most Wikipedians look like, I mean in the sense of feeling I can piece together all a person's contributions throughout the year and attaching them all to one individual nickname that I've stored away in my head.

As such, I would find it hard to think who to nominate.

That raises a question: since this is the inaugural award, will you award it to someone who has shown dedication over the years or will you limit your scope to someone who did a lot in 2011? --Bodnotbod 00:25, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
