Revision as of 10:02, 17 September 2011

When: Thursday 15 September 2011 in two sessions; from 1.30-5pm and from 6-9.30pm

Where: Waterside Two, The Watershed, Bristol BS1 5TX

What: An event focused on raising awareness of the plight of endangered species.

Who: Hosted by Wikimedia UK, with speakers from the Wildscreen charity’s award-winning ARKive project (http://arkive.org).

Presenter: Andy Mabbett (User:Pigsonthewing), Wikipedia Outreach Ambassador to ARKive.

The events will be suitable for people who've never edited Wikipedia before - it's easy to do, and fun - but you will need to bring a wi-fi enabled laptop or similar device.

Venue

The location is the Watershed, the UK’s first media centre. Its cafe-bar serves a wide variety of locally-sourced food and drink and has stunning views of Bristol Harbourside. Tea and coffee will be available at the start of each event.

The second session will repeat the first.
