Education projects

GLAM activities

  • On September 8th, the first Wikipedia editing training session at the British Museum, with 9 BM people (after 3 late drop-outs; a mix of curators, curatorial interns and volunteers) and three Wikimedians. See here
  • Two ARKive project events, one in the afternoon, the other in the evening, were held in Bristol on 15 September, led by Andy Mabbett (User:Pigsonthewing). - see Wiki Wildlife Bristol. A collaboration to improve Wikipedia articles on threatened species - Full information is available at Wikipedia:GLAM/ARKive.
  • 3rd - Mayor of Derby on Webstream to give prizes to Russia, France and Indonesia for Derby Multilingual challenge
  • 8th - British Museum internal workshop
  • 14th - Workshop for GLAMs at Herbert Art Gallery and Museum
  • 27th - Presentation for all staff at the British Library
