EduWiki Conference 2014 is the third annual conference organised by Wikimedia UK focusing on Education projects.

Date: Friday 31 October 2014 in Edinburgh

Venue: Edinburgh First's St Leonard Hall (University of Edinburgh)

This is a one-day event raising awareness of the educational possibilities of Wikipedia and sister projects, and developing Wikimedia UK's academic engagement. In light of the fact that Wikimania 2014 may be attracting potential delegates away from the EduWiki conference, this year's event is taking the form of a symposium bringing together all those in the Education sector who have benefited directly from WMUK support over the years. Aside from presentations about case studies from across the UK, this event also offers an opportunity for others across the education sector to attend workshops for Educators and/or Campus Ambassadors, providing support for the using Wikipedia as a teaching tool.

Please contact Toni Sant (Wikimedia UK's Education Organiser) if you have any personal questions or concerns, otherwise feel free to comment on the talk/discussion page.

Registration (required): open until Monday 15 September 2014.

2. A workshop (or two) for educators who want to explore the use of Wikipedia in the University classroom through the courses extension (including a possible hackathon on the WP Education extension) -- this will also include Campus Ambassadors' training;
3. An opportunity for Wikipedia Education Collaborative members to follow-up on previous discussions at Wikimania 2014.

We would also like to run a session of lightning talks by other delegates you may want to present Education-related projects of interest to the EduWiki community. If you would like to present a lightning talk, please leave your details (including a way to contact you and a title and/or brief topic outline of your lightning talk on the talk page or email toni.santatwikimedia.org.uk by 4 August 2014.
