: The first application was to [[:wikipedia:HMRC|HMRC]], for recognition as a charity for tax purposes, which was rejected. The current application is to the [[:wikipedia:Charities Commission|Charities Commission]], and is for full recognition as a charity (we couldn't apply to them directly from the start as we didn't meet the £5k financial requirement until recently). - The first application was to HMRC, for recognition as a charity for tax purposes, which was rejected. The current application is to the Charities Commission, and is for full recognition as a charity (we couldn't apply to them directly from the start as we didn't meet the £5k financial requirement until recently).
