About the event
Long-standing Wikipedian Luke Surl is delivering a 3-hour training session on "Editing Wikis and Wikipedia" from 9:30 until 12:30 on 5 February 2014, as part of the Personal and Professional Development course offered to PhD students at the University of East Anglia in Norwich.
The group will be approximately 20 PhD students from the sciences and maths departments, most of which will probably have never have edited a wiki before. The aim is deliver an introduction to Wikipedia and teach all the basic elements that a new editor would need to know. The ultimate goal is to have each student make a relatively substantial contribution to the encyclopedia related to their area of research or other interests.
Trainers
Luke Surl is the leading trainer for this event. However, we need another trainer to assist him. Travel expenses for the trainer will be provided, in agreement with WMUK's Education Organiser.
Below is the list of trainers that are able to be present on the day. The person/s attending will be announced by 24 January 2014.
