OSM State of the Map scholarships

Wikimedia UK is offering two (2) full scholarships to attend the OpenStreetMap State of the Map 2013 in Birmingham on 6-8 September 2013. The deadline for applying for a scholarship is 10th June 2013.

What the scholarship covers

The scholarships will cover:

• Registration fees
• Travel to and from Birmingham
• Accommodation
• A per diem to cover local expenses

Requirements

In order to quality for a full scholarship, you must be:

• A contributor to both the OSM and Wikimedia communities
• based in the UK
• able to travel to Birmingham and attend all days of the event
• willing to write a blog post summarising your key learnings from the event

If you wish to apply for a WMUK scholarship, please send:

• Your name and email address
• A rationale for why we should support your attendance, demonstrating experience as a community developer or sysadmin

to richard.nevell@wikimedia.org.uk prior to the application deadline.

Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of Wikimedia UK, and will be decided upon based on the submitted attendance rationale.
