Wikipedia Takes Coventry is a one day photo scavenger hunt, held in the city of Coventry, England on September 1 2012. Anyone can participate in the day, there is no need to be a Wikimedian or a member of Wikimedia UK.

Wikipedia Takes Coventry - In a nutshell

  • Where?: Starting at: Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, Jordan Well, Coventry, CV1 5QP
  • When?: Saturday, 1 September 2012 (time TBC)
  • Point of contact: Harry Mitchell or Rock drum (or email us)
  • How do I sign up?: Press the Registration Form button in the box on the right

If someone is in the background, or part of a crowd, or happens to be standing in front of a building in an inconspicuous way, it's OK but you shouldn't focus on an individual.
  • Respecting the rights of property owners: Property owners have the right to restrict you from taking a photograph while standing on their property. But, you can take any photograph as long as you are standing on public property. If someone asks you to stop, stop.
  • Respecting the police: If the police ask you to stop, stop.
