Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) help to locate electronic versions of scholarly publications on the Web. Wikimedia projects are amongst the largest users of these identifiers, be it in references cited on Wikipedia or Wikibooks or in the metadata of articles on Wikisource, of files on Wikimedia Commons, or in Wikidata items.
This session will provide an overview about current and historical usage of DOIs across Wikimedia projects. This includes a brief overview of usage scenarios, as well as tools for monitoring, visualizing and analyzing such usage. These tools include:
