Person Specification.
Personal experience of participating on Wikimedia projects or otherwise within the open-source/open-knowledge sphere or open knowledge movements
Just wondered why that was in "desireable" rather than "essential"? LoopZilla (talk) 20:58, 11 January 2015 (GMT)
- Hi Gordon - basically, because we don't want to limit ourselves to candidates who have already been heavily involved in Wikimedia or other open-source and/or open-knowledge projects. We certainly want a candidate who cares about knowledge and sharing it, and who can understand and work effectively in our environment - we've tried to find a way of specifying that in the "attitudes and behaviours" section. However those skills and attitudes might have developed in a range of different settings. The Land (talk) 09:15, 12 January 2015 (GMT)
Shortlisting and interviews.
This draft has been produced by a Board working group (myself, Michael Maggs, Carol Campbell and Alastair McCapra) who will be handling the selection process.
Will there be stakeholders (members of WMUK and others) involved in the shortlisting and interviews? LoopZilla (talk) 10:05, 14 January 2015 (GMT)
- Yes, details are still being worked out but there will definitely be external involvement. --MichaelMaggs (talk) 12:01, 14 January 2015 (GMT)
