Comment This is an Education outreach planning sub-page. Contributions and suggestions should go to the talk page...but minor edits are always welcome!



Student societies

  • Aims for 2013 include:
  1. engage more societies at more institutions
  2. bring some of the students from societies to EduWiki 2013
  3. strengthen support for established societies
  • Ways to reach above aims:
  1. national awareness campaign: How can WMUK support Student Societies? -> currently in discussion with SB
  2. campaign tie-in competition for societies to present activities plan at EduWiki 13 -> see Student societies
  3. ensure appropriate support for freshers' week -> CUWS has already requested support for October 2013
  4. national awareness campaign --> started in August with volunteer support
  • Still to sort out:
  1. mail-out to student unions to raise awareness
  2. online form for application for support


Education materials

  • Aim/s for 2013 include:
  1. create UK edition of Education brochure and possibly other Education-related materials available here.
  2. have UK edition of Education brochure translated into Welsh.
  3. order promotional materials that can be used for EduWiki 2013 and beyond
  • Ways to reach above aim/s:
  1. coordinate with Jisc Ambassador to line up joint efforts.
  2. coordinate with RO on Welsh translation
  3. clarify/list what we need
  • Still to sort out:
  1. action plan for this (who does what? and when?)
  2. are promotional materials related to EduWiki or Student Societies campaign covered by this part of the Education budget?

University-based events

  • Aim/s include:
