This year we have three vacancies for elected trustees, and are keen to hear from members of the Wikimedia community in the UK who would be interested in joining the Board. The process for standing for election is detailed here and the deadline is '''Friday 6th September'''.
This year we have three vacancies for elected trustees, with four members having put themselves forward by the deadline of 6th September. Their statements regarding their motivation to join the board have been published in alphabetical order at Candidate Statements (see link above). If you have questions for candidates to consider either before or during the AGM, please add these to the Candidate Questions page above or email info@wikimedia.org.uk.

What is most important is a commitment to open knowledge and the work of Wikimedia UK, and a willingness to take on the responsibility of being a charity trustee and board director of a limited company. We strongly value diversity in Wikimedia UK's board of trustees.

If you would like an informal conversation with our Chief Executive or one of the trustees about what being on the board involves, and potentially standing for election, please do send an email to info{{@}}wikimedia.org.uk and we will set up a call. Details for standing for election can be found on the Board/Becoming a trustee page and will be sent to members via email.
