Dr Sara Thomas Scotland Programme Coordinator, Wikimedia UK

Biography I studied at the University of Glasgow, and hold an MA(Hons) in English Literature, and a PhD in Popular Music (English Literature / Theatre, Film & Television Studies). I am an events & volunteer manager, and digital trainer. I worked in music venue management for around ten years, before moving to the third sector as a fundraiser and event manager.

My work I lead on the development and delivery of Wikimedia UK’s programme in Scotland, in collaboration with the Head of Programmes and Evaluation. I pursue and develop relationships with partner organisations in Scotland, and support and develop volunteers as well as our Wikimedians in Residence.
