|bio= Hi, I'm Stuart and I am a new member of the Wikimedia UK team. My background is an education in Art & Design, but I've had a varied career in Investment Management, Automotive Events, working as a bicycle courier, barman and some cutting down of trees. My role is helping with the organisation of Wikimania 2014.

Joining WMUK has introduced me to the "Open" world, and I have a growing enthusiasm for helping create a world where ordinary people can access as much information as possible.
I'm interested in promoting minority language Wikipedias via diaspora communities and running global events for Wikimedia and the Open community. And ways that Wikimedia can partner with like-minded or complimentary organisations to achieve larger, collective impact.


Outside of Wikimedia, I enjoy cooking, keeping up with politics and economics and trying to learn other languages.

*To act as a first point of contact to donors or funding partners approaching the Charity’, whether by telephone, email, in writing or in person
*Help run the programme element of Wikimedia UK's work, liaising with our institutional partners and community.
*Ensure that fundraising queries are responded to in a timely manner, guided by the Fundraising manager
*Research funding opportunities.
*Administration of gifts, including managing cancellations, refunds and upgrade requests.
*Run events to facilitate our movement's goals.

Biography

Hi, I'm Stuart, one of the Project Coordinators for the Wikimedia UK team. My roles at Wikimedia have included organising Wikimania 2014, fundraising and now working on program.
