The project was continued after his death, the second volume being completed in 1970. It included Thomas Kuhn's seminal The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. Although Neurath was very influential inhis life time as a prominent meber of the [[Viennese Circle collaborating with such prominent physicists such as einstein and Bohr his encyclopedia is often considered as a failure. This presentation will look at Neurath's notion of verifiability and compare it with Wikipedia:Verifiability:
- To what extent can we see Wikipedia as embodying elements of Neurath's encyclopedia
- To what extent can Neurath's approach to empiricism provide validation to the Wikimedia approach whether as a platform or model for publishing
