Wikipedia Takes UCL is a five-day cluster of events, held at UCL (University College London) where students, researchers and staff will learn how to write/edit Wikipedia articles and contribute photos on UCL-related subjects, such as notable alumni, projects and events. Outline of planned events

  • An introductory session about Wikipedia and sharing knowledge on the Internet from a member of Wikimedia (Monday)
  • Three drop-in clinics in UCL computer labs with accredited Wikipedia trainers from Wikimedia editors (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)
  • User guides on structuring your articles, referencing, images and editing (links available online soon).
  • Wikitext cheat sheets and other related materials, such as cards explaining Creative Commons licenses, available for all attendees.
