The Medical Research Council's National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) hosted a Wikipedia training event on Thursday 13th November 2014, with trainers from Wikimedia UK.

The event was open to all NIMR staff, and others by invitation. It took place in the NIMR library (The Ridgeway, Mill Hill, London NW7 1AA).

This event followed on from a Women in Science editathon hosted by NIMR in 2013, and past training events hosted by the Medical Research Council.

Programme

It was left up to participants what to edit, but the suggested themes were:

  • Biographies of women scientists
  • Biographies of scientists who have worked at NIMR
  • Improving Wikipedia articles in one's specialist area
