The Medical Research Council's National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) hosted a Wikipedia training event on Thursday 13th November 2014, with trainers from Wikimedia UK.

This event is open to all NIMR staff, and others by invitation. It will take place in the NIMR library (The Ridgeway, Mill Hill, London NW7 1AA).

This event follows on from a Women in Science editathon hosted by the NIMR in 2013, and past training events hosted by the Medical Research Council.

Programme

We are expecting an audience of 15.

  • 11.00 Introduction to Wikipedia/Wikimedia and basic editing (experienced editors are welcome to take a refresher)
  • 12.30 Lunch
  • 13.30 Editing with trainers on-hand to give individual help
  • 17.00 End
