Wikipedia Takes UCL is a five-day cluster of events, held at UCL (University College London) where students, researchers and staff will learn how to write/edit Wikipedia articles and contribute photos on UCL-related subjects, such as notable alumni, projects and events. We will also hold a number of workshops to ensure participants are able to share quality photos, articles and stubs that cross-reference with existing articles (including images and diagrams, where appropriate) within the guidelines of notability and verifiability applicable to Wikipedia.
There will also be a competition judged by representative members of UCL and Wikimedia UK for:
- Best article/photo on a person or place
- Best article on an area of academic research, project or event
- Best article overall
