Dear Sir/Madam,

I am sorry about this unsolicited email, however I would like to ask you a favour. My name is Petr Broz and I am one of the thousands of volunteer editors contributing to Wikipedia, the largest on-line encyclopaedia freely accessible to everybody. Wikipedia is edited by volunteers in their free time. Editing includes text edits of broad spectrum of articles and also taking photographs of a number of different items. Our goal is to offer all human knowledges easily accessible to all the people around the world. However, this is not an easy goal (especially for us as volunteers), therefore we often need some help.

On the English Wikipedia there is a short article about Camden catacombs, a set of underground facilities situated in London. This article is missing any pictures which might illustrate the uniqueness of the Victorian works. As a part of our attempt to cover London - one of the world's leading cities - with images, we would like to provide images of this network of tunnels available under an open license (Creative Commons[1]) allowing others to use these images for any purposes. However, Camden catacombs are not open for public and no images under open licenses exist on the Internet. We would like to change this! One of the easiest ways to change this is to ask you whether you would allow a entry of one of our volunteer photographers into this area for a short-time. Our photographer would take pictures and upload them to the Wikipedia storage of images, Wikimedia Commons.

I am aware that this is unusual plea which will require extra work. But please, help us improve Wikipedia and let us enter into these catacombs.
