Summary of the event

This is a workshop for people who may not have ever edited Wikipedia, but would like to help. Wikimedia has acquired copies of some very large collections of photographs, some of which would make great illustrations for Wikipedia articles, and many Wikipedia articles which don't currently have any pictures could be illustrated using these images.

What will you learn?

  • What Wikipedia's image library, Wikimedia Commons is.
  • How to search for images in Wikimedia Commons
  • How to add images to Wikipedia
  • How to add captions and a description for blind people to images
  • Projects that would benefit: Wikipedia
