In order to fully function as a chapter, and actually do things, we need members. So, how do we get them?

Ideas:

  1. Take membership application forms along to wikimeets
  2. Send a message to anyone that's UK-based on their en.wp user talk pages
    1. Compile a list and use AWB?
    2. What do you think of this one?
  3. Send to relevant WikiProjects
  4. Chase people with a previous involvement with WMUK
  5. Contact people that expressed an interest but haven't joined yet including those on these lists
  6. Article in Signpost?
  7. Send message around the facebook group

  8. Create a welcome template for all people who create a user account here, encouraging them to join
  9. Publicise in newsletter
  10. Email invitation on email list
  11. Other email lists? en-wiki
  12. Prominent invitation on uk.wikimedia.org homepage
  13. Agree a target number of people by a certain date (e.g. AGM) to focus efforts
  14. Press release to advertise AGm & membership & donations
  15. Encourage people to add {{WMUK}} to their project userpage
