Preparation

  • Papers and posters should indicate - instead or in addition to keywords - the top 3 (or so) most relevant Wikipedia articles that would be useful to understand the matter of the conference contribution
  • Abstracts - or even the full papers - should link to Wikipedia articles when concepts come up first

During the conference

Talks/ poster sessions

Presenters

  • should be encouraged to highlight or at least mention the top 3 (or so) Wikipedia articles relevant to their presentation
  • should be encouraged to use materials from Wikimedia projects, or to make their own materials available under a Wikimedia-compatible license, perhaps even uploading directly to Commons
