Help Wikipedia take Coventry

On 1 September, Wikimedians and amateur photographers will come to Coventry to take photographs of buildings, monuments and other structures in Coventry.

COVENTRY, <date> AUGUST 2012: On 1 September, the city of Coventry will play host to Wikimedians and amateur photographers as they descend upon the city for a one-day "photo scavenger hunt" - and you can participate.

The event is a collaboration between the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum in Jordan Well, Coventry and Wikimedia UK. It aims to generate high quality photographs of important buildings, monuments and other structures in Coventry. These images will then be released under a free license, allowing them to be used on Wikipedia and all over the world.

Anyone can participate, regardless of photography ability or whether or not they have edited Wikipedia before. Whether you have a point-and-shoot or a high-end DSLR, this event is for you.
