University of Hertfordshire Wikipedia workshop - In a nutshell

  • How do I sign up?: If you are a member of University of Hertfordshire, please contact Jackie Hanley (j.hanley@herts.ac.uk). If you are a Wikimedian interested in running the training session, please sign up below.

A one-day, free, hands-on training event for University of Hertfordshire staff in improving Wikipedia, arranged in cooperation with Wikimedia UK. Attendees are asked to bring their own laptops and to register a user account on Wikipedia in advance. This is a quick procedure that does not need any detailed personal information; although it is advisable to give an email address, to enable the retrieval of forgotten passwords!

It will also help if you create an editing account at Wikipedia before you come in on Thursday. If you haven't yet created an account, please go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page and click 'Create an account' at the top right corner. If you need help you can wait till the workshop.

Please go straight to MacLaurin Building, Bishop Square, Hatfield AL10 9NA opposite our De Havilland campus. If you are coming via train then I recommend jumping in a taxi from Hatfield train station. Please let me know if you are driving as a parking space would need to be reserved.

Once in reception ask for Louise Carey on ext 4578.
