Membership currently consists solely of what WMUK1 called "Guarantor Membership", but here is simply called "Membership". Other membership levels, e.g. Friends (non-voting; what WMUK1 called "Supporting Membership") and Corporate Membership, may be introduced at a later date.
=== Eligibility ===
Membership is open to all; you do not have to live in the UK, be over a certain age or be editors of any of the Wikimedia Foundation projects. All we ask is that members agree to support our [[Objects]] and not to bring Wikimedia UK into disrepute.

== Eligibility ==
Members must disclose to Wikimedia UK their full name and residential address; but they don't have to disclose their username on any of the Wikimedia projects. The personal data is included in the chapter's Register of Members, and this is made available to anyone with reasonable cause requesting the information. If you aren't comfortable disclosing this information, please still consider [[donate|donating]] to the chapter instead, and supporting our activities by your participation.

The current membership fee is £12/year, reduced to £6/year for concessions (defined as under 18, full-time student, unemployed and OAPs). This fee is reconsidered at the Annual General Meeting.

Fees and donations can be paid at the moment as cheques, bank transfers or standing orders. We are currently looking into paypal payments and cash. We are currently waiting to hear from the taxman whether we can reclaim the tax on donations; in the meantime, we are asking people to sign the declaration so we don't have to go back to people after approval.
