Membership/Help

It also has some suggestions on how you can help expand membership.

Payment methods

Fees and donations can be paid by

• cash,
• cheques,
• Paypal,
• bank transfers, or
• standing orders.

Please contact the Treasurer for the details required for bank transfers.

Postal payment

For postal payment by cheque, please download, print and complete a PDF membership application form. (PDF documents require Adobe Reader or equivalent software; this is freely available). Please make out your cheque to "Wiki UK Limited", and post it with the completed form, to the address given on the form.

Debit cards

It is actually possible to pay via debit card using the online form.

Processing

Membership is processed by the Treasurer; please consult Membership/Process for fuller details. Contact the Treasurer if you have any questions not answered there regarding your membership.

Corporate membership

We are currently in the process of setting up a corporate membership level. This will cost £100 per year. Please direct enquiries to the Treasurer.

Recruitment ideas

1. Take membership application forms along to Wikimeets / Wiki-events (Wikimania)
2. Send a message to anyone that's UK-based on their en.wp user talk pages
3. Encourage people to join who support our goals, not necessarily wiki-people!
4. Get advertising out (Google Ads? National TV? Walk around [major city] with flyers? Talkpage spam?)
5. Members-only events (e.g. behind the scenes tours of museums, etc)

What can I do?

• Encourage your editing group / non-wiki / wiki friends to join!
• Get involved with initiatives! The more active we are, the wider our reach will be!
